Happy Thanksgiving! The big day is upon us, and golden leaves are swirling about the block—or they were before the rain! We hope this finds you very well. We're excited to see that many more people have signed up for our email newsletter, and welcome to all!

We have much thanks to give, and lots to report in this edition.

It’s time to plant some flowers! Pull on your jeans and join us this Thursday afternoon. Plant a flower, and you’ll get to watch it flourish all summer. Free refreshments, and everyone welcome!

A small group of block association volunteers was recently sitting in a back garden and discussing all the important local matters: New construction in the neighborhood, beautiful flowers, lost trees, horrible rodents…

It had been 20 years and one pandemic since the last time the neighbors on the 200 block of East 78 street organized a block event.

It was an idea that was only delayed by two years due to the pandemic, but the moment has finally arrived: Join us Thursday, June 9th to plant flowers for the summer. Just come say hi, or come and get your hands dirty! It will be great to see everyone, and meet everyone!

We’re thrilled for our new block website to go live. Our “Version 1.0” is very stripped down. In time, we hope to built out the site to become a proper community hub, with galleries of images from the block, event listings, blog posts, and anything we think helpful.
